Duration and Fees
The Diploma in Mechanical Engineering usually takes 2.5 years to complete. Majority of Malaysian Universities charges a fee between RM25,000 – RM35,000.
A diploma in this field will provide students with a solid foundation, knowledge and skills in the field. There is increasing demand for mechanical engineers to design, test and manufacture different types of machinery across industries such as automobiles, health care, manufacturing, oil and gas, aeronautical, energy and utilities, and agricultural industry.
Mechanical engineers may work in operations, maintenance, administrators or managers, research and development, analysis and testing, installation and even sales and marketing.
A diploma that is highly recognized can grant you direct admission into the second year of a Bachelor of Engineering degree program. At the degree level you can choose to specialize in the area of your interest at the final semesters.
SPM – 3 Cs (including Mathematics and one science subject) and pass English
UEC – 3 Bs in UEC including English and Advance Mathematics
GCE ‘O’ level – 3 credits (including Mathematics and one science subject)
